Frequently Asked Questions

There are many questions you maybe uncertain of the answers to; so we have covered the most popular things that are asked prior to any work being carried out.

What areas do you cover?

We provide bodywork repairs in Birmingham and most of the West Midlands, including the Black Country, Dudley, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Sandwell, and Solihull. If you’re not sure, just drop us your postcode and we’ll let you know if we can get to you.

How do you colour match for repairs?

Every vehicle has a factory colour code. We use that to get a precise match through our professional mixing system, powered by the Lechler app. It’s a trade-only platform that gives us the formulas for a perfect finish, especially on solid and metallic single-tone paints.

Pearlescent or two-toned colours can be a bit trickier – we’ll always be honest if a flawless match isn’t possible, but give us a call and we’ll see what we can do.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash, BACs (bank transfer), or cheque – whichever’s easiest for you. Payment is made at the end of the job, once you’re happy with the result.

Can you repair dents?
We can handle minor dents, especially if they come with light scuffs or scratches. If a small amount of filler is needed, that’s fine too. We don’t carry out major accident repairs or large dent work, but feel free to send us a photo and we’ll let you know what’s possible.
How long do repairs typically take?
  • Bumper scuffs: Around 1–2 hours
  • Single panel (e.g. door or wing): Up to 2 hours
  • Additional panels: Add roughly an hour per extra panel

We work efficiently without cutting corners. Most jobs are sorted the same day, while you relax or get on with your day. Some customers even like to stick around for a chat about cars while we work.

Is there any type of car you won’t repair?

We’re happy to work on most makes and models, including newer lease vehicles and older motors.

We don’t do accident repairs, full resprays, or work involving structural damage. Some rare or complex finishes (e.g. pearlescent colours) can be challenging to match exactly, but if you’re unsure, give us a ring and we’ll talk it through.

Do you have a workshop?

No, unlike other car repair shops in Birmingham, we’re 100% mobile. That means no dropping off, no waiting around, and no garage bills. We bring everything to you.

How much will a repair cost?

Our pricing starts from:

  • Bumper scuff – from £180
  • Door scratch – from £200
  • Wing scuff – from £200

Every quote is tailored to your specific damage and car, so just send us some pictures and we’ll confirm the cost, no obligation, no pressure.

What access do you need to carry out a repair?

Ideally, a driveway or off-road parking is best, but we can also work safely on quiet roadsides. We just need:

  • To park our van within three metres of your vehicle
  • Access to a standard plug socket within 20 metres

Let us know if that might be tricky, and we’ll help you figure out a solution.

What should I do after the repair?

Aftercare is simple:

  • Wait a week before washing your car (to let the lacquer fully cure)
  • Water is fine, but avoid car washes or chemicals for 7 days
  • After that, treat it like normal, we’ll leave it looking fresh and protected
